Chicken Soup for the Nursing Soul

I remember a story I ready about a little girl desperately wanting to be alone with the newborn baby and their parents refusing over and over til finally, one day, they let her. But they were extra careful to leave the door open. They listened in, and heard the little girl ask the new baby, "Do you remember God, cause I'm starting to forget...." That was such a cute story I decided to ask Jack if he remembered God. He thought about it for a moment, then very seriously said, "Yes". I asked him what He was like.
Jack's reply?

"Flowers." and he smiles.

I asked him again the next day. he went from playful brat to very serious before he answered. he said, "flowers. pretty flowers. blue ones and yellow ones --pretty ones."

Jack is never serious like that. it is sad that as adults we have to think to appreciate all that God is, gut a small child gets it with such clarity

An older woman told me after the birth of my first child that the greatest gift we can give our children is to lead them to the Lord...and sometimes they can lead us right back.
~~~Blessings~~~
Children are the most important thing in life and when they can respond to a question like this with an answer like this, I'd say you have succeeded.
